For all of us, in some way, folk and fairy tales are evocative of memories, a character or and event from our past. When we recount our experiences to others, we are doing nothing less than telling a story. Stories and fairy tales find us in the most unexpected situations. In as much as we find ourselves in them and identify with them, they are also a part of us. Sometimes we forget them, sometimes we prefer not to acknowledge their message, but you can rest assure that they will return, determined to be heard, time and time again.
I have experienced it myself.
Do you still remember your favourite childhood stories?
